热休克蛋白背景知识

热休克蛋白 (HSPs) 存在于所有生命体的各种细胞里，功能也是多样的。当细胞受到来自外环境的刺激时，例如高热，过冷，氧缺乏，它的表达就会增多，所以更多的时候它被认为是应激蛋白。

热休克蛋白不只是出现在细胞受到不利刺激的时候，它也在时刻监控着细胞的其他蛋白质，将他们由细胞中的一个区室（compartment）运到另一个区室，或者是把衰老的蛋白运到指定地移除。热休克蛋白也被认为有帮助呈现特定氨基酸序列在细胞表面，从而使病态细胞易被免疫系统发现的功能。热休克蛋白也有分子伴侣功能，确保细胞内的蛋白质以正确的形态出现在正确的时间，正确的地方。例如，热休克蛋白帮助新生成的或者扭曲的蛋白质折叠成正确的形状以确保它们正常的功能。热休克蛋白主要有 Hsp90, Hsp70, Hsp60, Hsp40 and Hsp27，还有其他一些小分子热休克蛋白。
